Vaccines are becoming increasingly effective and safe, as they undergo rigorous and constant quality controls.
Thanks to advances in medical research and vaccinations:
smallpox has been eradicated;
tetanus, polio, and diphtheria have almost disappeared;
cases of hepatitis B, measles, rubella, mumps, and meningitis have drastically decreased.
Getting vaccinated is an act of responsibility towards oneself and the community.
